How Do I Meet People?

Roanoke Island Presbyterian Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members.  Every person is valued as an essential member of the Body of Christ. Whether you are a five-year old child, a teenager, a ninety-year-old grandmother, a busy parent, a service worker or a professional, we want YOU to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here are some ways you can learn, serve, and grow at RIPC.

Coffee and Conversation

The Gathering Place is a great spot immediately following worship to enjoy light refreshments and conversation, get to know other RIPC folks, and learn about the church and its opportunities for spiritual growth and ministry.  Be sure to stick around after worship to chat with charter members as well as those who have recently arrived. You’ll be glad you did!

Small Group

Often small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, RIPC encourages small Bible or book studies and discussions based on the interests of group participants. The size of the group is generally anywhere from six to twelve. At a time and place designated by your group, you can participate in a small group study.  Speak with one of our Elders about a topic you would like to study.

The church’s nursery is staffed each Sunday by Ashly, a professional child care employee of RIPC’s weekday 5-star child care ministry for children birth-3.  Children’s Bible songs, coloring pages and other age-appropriate activities are available for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers during worship.
